National Account Manager | Home-Based | Fresh Produce
We are currently working with a very inclusive and supportive international business, who are one of the leaders in their market. As a key supplier to the fresh produce industry, they have a great reputation for quality products and service and bank on this to develop long and effective commercial relationships. They are currently looking for an experienced Account Manager to join the business, to help them manage one of their key areas.
As the Account Manager/Commercial manager, you will be responsible for maintaining (and developing) a number of key customer relationships, which the business has developed over the course of its history. They prefer an honest and open approach and would rather the customer make the right decision for them, even if this means they don't get the sale this time. You will be liaising with customers around the country and as such will be required to plan your time and travelling as effectively and efficiently as possible. The job will require some overseas travel as well.
You will be commercially minded and passionate about the Fresh Produce industry! Ideally you will have had involvement with growers, or have worked for a produce grower in the past. You will be able to work autonomously, as the team is spread around the UK. However, they are all committed to working together and, despite the distance, there is a good team spirit and camaraderie. The business is committed to ensuring you have all the skills and knowledge you require to do the job well and the induction process is geared specifically around this.
