Our client is the foremost leader in its sector, growing a wide range of flowers destined for its supermarket customers. They grow continuously throughout the year changing products with the season; starting with forced daffodils and tulips continuing through to lilies grown under glass and in the field on to English summer flowers.
As a result of continued expansion they are now looking to strengthen their team further particularly in the growing function.
This is an ideal role for an ambitious and hands on grower who has had experience of growing either ornamental or edible crops protected or field grown. Growing skills and a passion for growing are a prerequisite for this role, experience in one particular area is not as relevant as this can be learnt.
Ideally you will have a formal qualification in Agriculture/horticulture ideally to degree level, and experience in large scale intensive horticulture, preferably flowers would be a great advantage.
You will be bright, enthusiastic, and will have a high degree of practical skills such as tractor driving, spraying etc and be mechanically minded and ideally have practical mechanical skills as well.
