Job: Arboricultural Manager, The Landscape Recruitment Company

A forest wholesale business on the Scottish borders is looking for a Manager to oversee their conifer and broadleaf stocks, supplying stock sourced from across Europe.

Our client is seeking a motivated individual to play a vital role in developing the business, initially starting as a business manager but developing in a sales management position.

Working alongside the existing sales manager, you will be responsible for running the UK operation, ensuring business is run in an efficient manner.

Duties include:

• Management of plant stocks, and sourcing plant material
• Management of orders and despatch
• Management of accounts, suppliers and debt collection
• Management of payroll, VAT etc
• Building up strong customer relationships, developing organic growht and develop new UK business.

The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic and hardworking, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You must have a good attention to details and robust business management skills. Experience of forestry establishment is essential.

You must have strong negotiaion skills, be a confident problem solver, and have the ability to drive sales in line with targets.

A good technical knowledge of the forestry industry is required, and a knowledge of EU forestry regulations. You must have experience of monitoring and responding to market trends.
