Wight Salads Group is the largest organic tomato producer in Europe and the largest tomato grower in the UK. Due to expansion we are currently seeking a Portuguese speaking Production Manager for our site in Portugal. We now have a great opportunity for the right person and in return we can offer you a position which is key to our business as one of the most prestigious horticultural companies with nurseries in the UK, Spain and Portugal.

Reporting to the General Manager the role will coordinate the activities in both conventional and organic glasshouse production areas. You must be able to achieve excellence in performance whilst, at the same time, managing a budget using the available resources effectively. You will need to have the ability to manage, motivate and develop a team and have good organisational and communication skills.

You will have a horticulture or related degree, experience in hydroponics and organic production under glass. Experience of commercial tomato production would be desirable. You must be dynamic and pro active with a capacity for organisation and leadership combined with superior communication and interpersonal skills. You must have a flexible approach to work and be comfortable working as part of a team and on your own initiative. IT literate you must have good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
