Our client is a reliable and professional company, which specializes in the supply of (pot) plants to the wholesalers and garden centres.
The SUCCESSFUL candidate will be responsible for:
- Buying plants, ensuring the Company is providing the right quality, quantity and meeting the Customer needs.
- Maintaining supplier base ensuring suppliers meet the company’s requirements.
- Identifying new suppliers i.e. better value for money
- Ensuring deliveries match purchase
- Ensurng projected Sales targets are met.
- Developing customer base and improving sales, by telephone sales and customer visits.
- Being aware of customer needs and build a good relationship with them.
- Customer Orders - Placing customer orders with suppliers ensuring efficient delivery.
- Taking Customer orders over the phone and place orders with suppliers ensuring efficient delivery. Find alternative supplier when/where there are shortages.
- Ensuring all stock is sold by end of week or as soon as possible.
- Ensuring all orders are processed correctly.
The IDEAL person will possess:
- Excellent plant knowledge
- Developed retail and customer service skills
- Management or senior supervision skills
- Must be able to work wholesale hours
